Meet the Team!

Our Founders

Natalie Tan and Siri Mokkala created T.O.T.S. the summer after their freshman year at Plano East Senior High School. Although T.O.T.S. began as a club, it grew over the years to become a successful nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting underprivileged communities everywhere.

  • Founder

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more.

  • Hello! My name is Siri! I am the founder of this organization and has been working since 2022. In the beginning, I focused on launching the organization in the school and scheduling the classes between students and tutors. This involved finding a sponsor and marketing at different community events to gain students. As the organization progressed, I turned my focus towards gaining new chapters in different locations which involved holding lots of interviews and going through applications. I also work on outreach and partnerships between our nonprofit and other nonprofit organizations.

  • Officer

Hello! My name is Talia. I absolutely love to tutor; it’s been a passion of mine to help others even when I’m still learning new concepts. TOTS was the perfect opportunity to nurture this passion for teaching. I joined TOTS because I felt it would offer me the chance to possibly change somebody’s academic life and to help make students feel more confident in themselves in regards to grades, school stress… etc.

  • Event Coordinator

Hello, my name is Roshan Vajinapalli, the Event Coordinator for TOTS. I wanted to be a part of TOTS to make an impact on underprivileged students in different countries. I have plenty of experience in different projects spreading educational access to different countries such as India. I hope I can continue to foster this impact in TOTS.

Headquarters

  • Software/Website Designer

Hello! My name is Akhil, and I am the website designer for TOTS. Having a huge passion for making an impact using my software knowledge inspired me to join TOTS and help the organization in this role. Through my role, I plan to create a helpful platform where students can easily find educational resources and connect with tutors!

  • Director of Finances

Hello! My name is Saumya! I’m a rising senior at Plano East Senior High School, serves as the Director of Finances for Teaching Others to Succeed (T.O.T.S.). I work with grant and scholarship organizations to fund programs to help provide educational resources for the underserved public school system. Additionally, I have worked on outreach in the establishment of new chapters and have worked as a tutor. I am committed to helping increase educational resources and opportunities for lower to middle income communities in order to increase educational equity.

  • Outreach Officer

Hello! My name is Manya Gummaraju and I am a junior at Plano East Senior High School. As the Outreach Officer of the TOTS club I am driven by a passion for making a positive impact in our community. In my role, I am committed to extending the reach of our club's mission to provide free tutoring for children and give more children the opportunity to thrive academically. I look forward to working with this group of like minded individuals so we can provide a valuable service to the community. I am excited to be a part of this organization and witness the positive changes we can bring to the lives of these children through education.

  • Officer

Hello! My name is Santosh Gedela. I originally joined TOTS as a tutor, and now I am part of the expansion team for TOTS. I became a part of TOTS because I believe in the impact of education and that everyone should be able to access high-quality education. I'm passionate about providing quality tutoring to children. TOTS shares this mission, and I'm thrilled to participate in this community-driven initiative to make learning accessible for all. It's a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students' lives.
